The Energy Savings Assistance Program, funded by Southern California Edison (SCE), provides comprehensive energy-saving home improvements and services to income-qualified renters and homeowners whose homes are at least five years old. These are installed NO COST by Quality Conservation Services and other approved and licensed contractors. NOTE: The Southern California Edison program may be combined with the Southern California Gas (SoCalGas) Program or the Southwest Gas (SWG) Program for additional free improvements.
Free energy improvements offered by Quality Conservation to eligible homeowners and renters* in single family, multi-unit, or mobile homes who are active residential-metered customers of SCE may include:
Smart Wi-Fi-connected Thermostats
Attic insulation
Refrigerator and freezer replacement
Clothes and dish washer replacements
SuperSaver LED light bulbs
Heat pump water heaters
Smart power surge protectors
Door weather-stripping
Caulking and sealing of air leakage points
Minor energy saving repairs to doors, windows, walls, etc.
Water-saving aerators and massage showerheads
Water heater blankets and pipe wrap
Furnace replacement or repair** (owner-occupied only)
Water heater replacement or repair** (owner-occupied only)
Enrollment for CARE utility bill discounts of 20% (gas) and 30-35% (electric)
*For some improvements, renters must provide a Property Owner Approval form, signed by their landlord
** Repair or replacement services may be available when existing natural gas units are deemed inoperable or hazardous.
